It is also an opportunity to socialise with other circular economy professionals in Vienna and brainstorm future projects.
What is the Disruptive Innovation Festival?
The Disruptive Innovation Festival (DIF) is an online platform which aims to shift mindsets and inspire action towards a circular economy. It invites people to share disruptive ideas and stories on a number of topics and attracts a worldwide audience, sparking critical conversations and participation through a combination of live interviews, films, and podcasts.DIF Highlight for our event:
System Reset – Shot in London, Amsterdam and Barcelona, System Reset features some of the leading thinkers in materials, economics, the commons movement, FabLabs, digital citizenship, urban planning and architecture to collectively weave a picture of how our economy could operate.After viewing the film, we will be holding a roundtable discussion, with a strong emphasis on audience participation
Panelists:
Julika Dittrich: Initiator and head of “Circular Futures – Circular Economy Platform Austria” www.circularfutures.at – A consortia made up of the European Environmental Bureau in Brussels and the organizations RepaNet and VABÖ in Austria, all tied to the creation a solution-based, multi-stakeholder “Platform Recycling Austria”. This organization acts as a think tank, incubator, project and initiative catalyst to facilitate the transition to a circular economy in Austria.
Helene Pattermann: Founder of www.zerowasteaustria.at. Zero Waste Austria brings people together to promote, publicize and disseminate sustainable solutions, lifestyles and projects and is part of the Zero Waste Europe organization.
Karin Huber-Heim: Sustainability consultant and project leader of the research group “Circular Economy Systems” at the Bertalanffy Center for the Study of Systems Science (BCSSS), Vienna. http://www.bcsss.org/de/research/fields-and-groups/circular-economy-systems/ She teaches at various Universities of Applied Sciences, is program director of an MSc “Sustainability & Responsible Management and serves as board member at Global Compact Austria Network, promoting SDGs in Teaching & Research.
