Join us to explore the Circular Economy. It’s a vital and exciting climate solution and innovation opportunity.

    About this Event

What is the Circular Economy? It’s a way to design, make, and use things within planetary boundaries.

You may think the Circular Economy is something to do with zero waste or recycling. It’s so much more. Let’s dig into it together.

Join us for a casual evening of learning and discussing the full opportunity the Circular Economy presents.

Both a climate solution and innovation opportunity, we’ll explore why the Circular Economy is on track to add 4.5 trillion dollars to the global economy by 2030 and create hundreds of thousands of new, green jobs.

Who is this event for? Whether you are a business or non-profit professional, entrepreneur, designer, member of local government, post-secondary student or academic, engage in what is happening in Victoria through interactive conversations. This is a start pointing to advancing our local Circular Economy together.

There will be snacks and drinks. Beer and wine by donation to Project Zero – a circular economy innovation project by Synergy Sustainability Institute and Surfrider Foundation Vancouver Island .

Circular Economy Victoria: Learn, Connect, Act is presented by Lindsey Boyle, Partner, The Sound, a global Insights, Strategy & Innovation agency & Founder, Circular Citizen, in conjunction with Circular Cities Week Oct 28 – Nov 3, 2019, an initiative of global non-profit Circular Economy Club (CEC). The goal: to push, with a united voice, for the design and implementation of circular economy strategies in cities worldwide. This effort will coincide with the United Nations World Cities Day on Oct. 31.

A local chapter has recently been established with the purpose to actively encourage participation in the Circular Economy in Victoria. If you are interested in getting involved with CEC Victoria, email Rebecca Blachut @ cec.victoria.canada@gmail.com.

Doors open at 5:45pm. Event starts at 6pm
