Sara has dedicated her life to environmental protection and sustainable development at a professional level since the year 2006. This is when she started her bachelor study in Environmental Engineering in Tehran. Since then she has worked with a variety of sectors including Plan for the Land NGO where she worked on different projects such as protection of wetlands and endangered animal species in Iran. Variety of educational brochures on these fields have also been created by Sara. She also had an opportunity to expand her knowledge regarding project management by working at Besara, a construction company in Tehran. Afterwards, she managed to develop her skills in sales and marketing at Oriflame company for the natural cosmetic products.

Additionally, she always has been very eager to develop her knowledge and skills in sustainability. Therefore, she decided to peruse and develop her education in Germany where she successfully graduated from Technical University of Munich with the Master degree in Sustainable Resource Management. During her Master she worked with an EU project “Green Surge” based on sustainable urban development and her Master thesis focused on: “Social Cohesion as a Concept of Equal Access to Urban Green Infrastructure”. After her graduation, Sara continued her passion to work independently as a sustainable consultant in Munich. Furthermore, she conducted the research on supply chain transparency of Palm Oil in Malaysia working with the C.UBI initiative.
