Tarak Nandan tells CEC about his background
“My work on circular economy journey began in 2007 when I was working for Tata Group and managing Jamshedpur city where I was managing Jamshedpur municipality and worked on various projects. I got exposure about innovation and after that I managed Delhi waste management project also and managed Lagos integrated waste management project as operations director. Everywhere I introduced many innovative solutions for resource reuse, reduce waste and recycling.”

Greatest challenges when implementing circularity:
“Large-scale of business being done by SME across the world and they lack understanding about the circular economy concept and lack ability and knowledge to adopt it.”

Your greatest tip for a circular startup:
“Be innovative, think out of the box and always think about environmental sustainability in whatever business you do.”
