NISP® Canada

NISP® Canada, a program run by Vancouver’s Light House Sustainable Building Centre, is implementing a National Industrial Symbiosis Program, with activities focused on the geographic regions of Metro Vancouver and Greater Edmonton. This initiative is creating business-to-business networks that identify opportunities for resource collaboration between companies or other types of organizations. Primarily focused on material exchange, but also including other resources such as research expertise, transportation, and logistics, NISP® has been shown in 30 other regions around the globe to be an effective means of creating economic, environmental and social benefits to businesses and surrounding communities.
