🔔 Mission Statement:
The current conventional economy has served humanity all this time providing access to prosperity, luxury and comfort living but unfortunately this happened at the expense of our limited resources. Linear economy with its take-make-waste model (the infinite belief) has put the global sustainability at stake without any consideration of the everchanging global parameters.
✍ Circular Economy as a Global trend has enabled tackling unemployment, poverty, waste generation, resource depletion, climate change , loss of biodiversity, and environmental pollution. On the other hand it enhanced innovation, start-ups (SMEs), creating jobs and endless positive social impacts. These true tangible outcomes have driven us to be a catalyst in this nation’s transition here in Jordan.
Nations have huge potential, but limited resources and circularity is being misinterpreted as only recycling and this has fostered greenwashing (or Circular-washing) and we want to change that by introducing the true Circularity Lens. Fostering for circularity and holistic transition will be an integral part and driver for CEC-Amman 🌐 .
