Circular Cities Week Vienna: Circular and healthy food in the city

Imagine a city where there is food that is healthy, produced in harmony with the environment and distributed so that everyone has enough to eat and little is left over.

As part of the Circular Economy Club’s Circular Cities Week 2021, Circonnact is organizing the Circular Excursion & Workshop “Circular Food: circular and healthy food in the city” on October 28.

Where does food come from in a circular city? What is the connection between healthy nutrition and circular food? What sharing concepts are needed in the food sector? What role can gastronomy play? How do we reduce the food that is currently wasted in the city? Can we avoid it, or use leftovers and waste products differently?

These are questions for which circular approaches offer a solution, and in Vienna there are already many actors working on the pressing challenges. We bring them together and develop ideas together on how to make the solutions more widely known. What is needed from the public sector, from companies and organizations, from citizens?

Based on impulses, we will exchange ideas on the topics in order to accelerate the implementation of sustainable and circular solutions. Join us at the Zukunftshof, a living lab for the future of urban agriculture.
