Dr Sarah Miller is a PhD qualified environmental scientist with a degree in biotechnology, a Masters in Business Administration and over 20 years experience in enterprise development. Sarah established the Rediscovery Centre as a small research and education centre in 2005. The Centre has grown to develop four successful social enterprises, Rediscover Fashion, Rediscover Paint, Rediscover Cycling and Rediscover Furniture. The Rediscovery Centre also created Europe’s first 3D Text book in 2017 which now operates under a strategic partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency, as the National Centre for the Circular Economy.
The workshop is delivered as an interactive group which includes a review of the Rediscovery Centre’s social enterprise journey, an introduction to design thinking, Q&A and an opportunity to network with like-minded organisations. Sarah will also explain a number of successful funding models and other support services available for social enterprises. This clinic will be followed by one to one meetings. These meetings can be booked once you have registered for the clinic.
This workshop is delivered at the Rediscovery centre, a demonstration eco-facility and a centre of excellence in sustainability incorporating educational exhibits, renewable and efficient energy systems, sustainable building materials, rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling, composting toilets and gardens designed for biodiversity enhancement and environmental education.
