The Re-think Circular Economy Forum in Naples was organised by Tondo to present a vision on macro-trends, possible evolutionary paths and main projects of the Circular Economy at local, national and international level.
The main purpose is to stimulate the emergence of innovative and entrepreneurial activities that have a positive impact on the local and national economic system.
The event will take place on the 30th of June 2022 at the DaDoM Museum of the Darwin Dohrn Foundation in the Villa Comunale in Naples. For reasons of room capacity and pandemic situation, physical participation in the event will be by invitation only, for all other interested persons it will be possible to follow the event online free of charge. As already specified, the online event will be open to everyone and in presence by invitation only, but if you are interested in physically attending, please write to info@tondo.tech and we will check if there is still availability to add you.
The speeches will be mainly in Italian and the full programme can be seen here.
Over the day, there will be speakers from companies, start-ups, research institutions and institutional actors that, at different levels, are carrying out and supporting projects on the Circular Economy. Some of the companies and institutions already confirmed are: Municipality of Naples, EPM, UniCredit, UniCredit Start Lab, Fondazione Dohrn, Enea, CNR, Confagricoltura Campania, Confindustria, Feudi di San Gregorio, Yamamay, Ferrarelle, Nicefiller, ReMida Napoli, Ohoskin, Evja, Renoon, PortXChange, Sistema Moda Italia, Mare Vivo, IPE-Business School, University of Naples Federico II and University of Naples “Parthenope”.
The event will have 3 main focuses:
– Ports and Circular Tourism: focus on decarbonisation of maritime operations, recovery of waste at sea and sustainable transition of the tourism sector;
– Agri-food: focus on the wine sector, food waste reduction and packaging recycling;
– Textile & Fashion: focus on fibre and yarn recovery, eco-friendly textile production and more efficient use of resources.
The event is organised in cooperation with EPM, UniCredit, the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Milan, AdnKronos as media partner and Smallfish as graphics partner.
The initiative has currently received patronage from: Campania Region, Naples City Council, Port System Authority of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea, Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, Dohrn Foundation, ARPA Campania, Mare Vivo, AISOM, ASviS, University of Naples Federico II, University of Naples ‘Parthenope’ and IPE-Business School.
