Volunteering Opportunities
The club is coordinated by 32 volunteers based all over the world. CEC seeks volunteers that help run the club and bring the circular economy community together. CEC Event Organizers are local volunteers & changemakers who build a community of circular economy professionals in their cities, companies, universities or schools. Volunteering with the Circular Economy Club has been a wonderful way to engage on a personal level with the Circular Economy community and develop great relationships and learning’s that will be useful to me in my professional career. By joining CEC, I gained more opportunities to communicate with professionals, mentors and other organisations, which provide me a clearer path to work within the circular economy field and to learn about the framework as the way to solve environmental problems.
Delighted to be part of such an energetic team
Being part of the CEC team allows me to keep up to date with the current CE discussions, in particular when I had the honour to represent the club at the United Nations SDG Action Festival in Germany. Moreover, as the Coordinator of the CEC Cities Organizers program, I am able to speak to people from all around the world with different backgrounds, giving me a truly amazing insight on implementing the CE at the local level. I would recommend anyone to be part of this team due to its energy and motivation to work collaboratively to create a CE.
CEC has given me a new perspective
Volunteering with the CEC has given me a new perspective on the available roles within the Circular Economy and how I can play a part. In working with the CEC Mentors and speaking at the Ethical Corporation conference, I’ve met some of the leaders and seen a breadth of the most innovative work happening within the sector.
A strong sense of community
CEC is a melting pot of nationalities and cultures from across the world, with a strong sense of community. My experience couldn’t be better! In less than a year I have learnt from participating in many different initiatives, such as the CEC Mapping Week, coordinating the Linkedin Group (and being contacted by different circular economy professionals as a consequence) and developing the network in my home country. I am thankful!
