  • DESCRIPTION

Europe’s low-carbon transition will require increasing quantities of raw materials for renewable energy, clean mobility and batteries. The Circular Economy will be an important source of domestic supply for these raw materials.

We think there is a big potential for the EU to more closely align its circular economy and climate change agendas in the next political cycle.

Join us to debate what EU policy and market actions are required to establish a world-leading recycling industry for the raw materials our low-carbon technologies need.

    • How can Circular Economy principles be built into the EU’s 2050 low-carbon vision?
    • What role can Europe’s urban mine play in improving supply security for strategic raw materials?
    • What policy actions are required to boost the global leadership of European recyclers, in the face of competition from other areas of the world
